Photo walk through Nice
Back in October I was hired to make a trip to Nice memorable for a birthday lady from Lithuania. I live not too far from Nice and have seen so many Instagrammable spots in the Old Town and around. This would allow us to stay in the same area and have a lot of variety in our portraits.
We covered the beach, Promenade des Anglais, the Old town and Colline du Chateau in just an hour and a half. Here are the results!
Yoga Studio Photoshoot in Biot
Capturing the Essence of Yoga: A Radiant Photoshoot in Biot's Serene Yoga Studio.
I recently had the incredible opportunity to immerse myself in the peaceful ambiance of Biot's new yoga studio and capture the beauty and grace of yoga through the lens of my camera. With the magical interplay of light and movement, I embarked on a captivating journey of capturing the work of Héloïsa, Biot’s yoga instructor.
Yoga by the pool
Outdoor photography is my favourite. Even in harsh light, I am excited to work with the conditions I get and work through the most difficult ones.
As a branding photographer, I need to adjust to my client’s timing and most businesses work 9-5 when the light isn’t the best. I am also a mother and have to work around my kids’ schedules. So sunrise/sunset sessions are not always possible.
Midday portrait session
I consider myself a professional at taking photos in the midday light, the light that every photographer I know would tell you THE worst you can have. I simply never had much choice so had to adapt to this light, and in all honesty I don’t hate it.
Fête du mimosa, Biot 2023
February is officially THE yellow month. First we have mimosa, closely followed by Fête du Citron in Menton with a huge carnival and all the lemons!
But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Mimosa is still pretty much the only talk of the town and Biot pulled all the stops to celebrate this glorious yellow season. Here’s a quick recap of what your friendly local French Riviera photographer (me) captured during the Fête du Mimosa in Biot.
Mimosa Season on the Côte d’azur
January-February are known as the mimosa season on the French Riviera. Starting in mid-January you can see pops of yellow around Nice and then moving east, around Mandelieu de la Napoule and Tanneron entire rolling hills are being covered with golden trees.
I love yellow! It’s joyful, sunny and positive, and blooming mimosa brings so much brightness and colour to us right in the middle of winter.
French Riviera photographer in Normandy
My family-in-law lives in Normandy, and so we go there at least twice a year to see them. Despite the huge difference in pretty much everything, but the French language, between Côte d’Azur and the Camembert country, I really love it there.
I don’t get to shoot moody conditions a lot on the Riviera. One can’t complain of course when we have sunny weather almost all the time, but I enjoy switching things up from time to time. Here are a few photos I took during our Christmas trip to the North coast.
