Best Spots for a Photoshoot in Antibes
I’ve lived in the Antibes area in the past two years and as much as I enjoy the whole of the French Riviera, Antibes is my go-to when going on photo adventures.
Here are my favourite spots for photoshoots in Antibes:
Port Vauban. If you like a backdrop of yachts and a feel of a port city, Port Vauban is the place to go. Whether for a family shoot, landscape photography or a lifestyle session, I like this place because it’s not very crowded and you can certainly get opportunities to take great shots even during busy times.
2. Plage de la Gravette. Just around the corner from Port Vauban, there lies my second favourite beach in Antibes. Plage de la Gravette. It can and will get crowded so plan your photo trip for an early morning, the light is best in the mornings in Antibes.
3. Old Antibes. This might be my best kept secret but Old Antibes offers the best photo backdrops at any time of the day. Narrow streets provide so much shade, you won’t be worried about the light much. Some streets do get busy but if you look for quiet areas you sure will find them here in the back streets.
4. Plage Keller. I love Keller for the backdrop of stunning villas and for the proximity to a gorgeous seaside hike that would lead you to my last recommendation and la creme de la creme of Antibes in my opinion. But let’s not skip Keller too fast. Use the sandy beach or big rocks for your next photoshoot!
5. Bay of Antibes Billionaires. This stunning iconic spot is as amazing as it sounds. Ok, it may be best for landscape photography but you have to at least see it. The turquoise water, little (and big) boats and generally good vibe will fill your camera with the most delightful images.
